Knuckle Bash (ナックルバッシュ) is a belt-scrolling beat 'em up game developed by Toaplan and released in 1993 for arcades.
Story[]
The world's largest professional wrestling organization "BULL". Michael Sobut, Jack Blow and El Plancha were among the star wrestlers there. However, the entity was a villainous criminal organization. Knowing the truth, they set off on a battle to destroy the organization in order to protect Chibikko's dream pro-wrestling from evil hands.
Gameplay[]
In Knuckle Bash player's can choose between three initial characters, each with their own unique moveset, with the first button being used for attacking and the second for jumping, with some button combinations allowing the player to pull special moves. At the beginning, players choose between one of two scenarios, both of which host their own set of stages and clearing certain scenarios unlocks an extra playable character. Unlike other titles in the same genre, the stages in the game chiefly consist of various waves of single or few strong boss-like enemies, instead of the typical long series of weaker enemies with a boss at the end of the stage. It also completely lacks weapons or objects of any sort.
