Story[]

2101 AD. The Galactic Space Federation has started a new project, entitled "Galaxy Defense Base Development Plan", to build eight defense bases as a defense measure to protect the galaxy from invaders. Behind the scenes, however, there was a plot in which the federal government and the space pirate "CATS" teamed up to attempt to plunder Andromeda.

However, two years later, the space carrier heading for the completed base was blown up. CATS betrayed the federal government!!! However, at that time, one fighter from the aircraft carrier started while being wrapped in flames! Super-dimensional space fighter "ZIG-01"!

Fight! ZERO WING! For the peace of the galaxy. The battle has already begun...

Gameplay[]

Zero Wing is a typical side-scrolling shooter. The ship can be equipped with three different weapons by picking the corresponding colored icon, with the weapons being fired the first button. The second button activates the Prisoner Beam, which allows the player to capture small enemies. Captured enemies can be used as a temporary shield, protecting the front of the ship, or tossed into other enemies.
